Background Check Fee Notice
CDL-Driver Verify does not charge drivers for this application. However, the third-party background check provider may charge the driver directly for the required background check and monthly verification fees. Any payment is made to the background check company, not to CDL-Driver Verify.

Typical Timeline
Most verifications are completed within 3-5 minutes. Depending on the circumstances, some background checks can take up to 3-5 days. Drivers can check their status anytime in the portal, and brokers can search immediately once verification is approved.
3D Facial Recognition — Every Driver, Every Time
Every driver in CDL-Driver Verify™ must complete a live 3D facial recognition scan while holding their CDL and US Passport. No exceptions.
Driver holds CDL + US Passport while 3D facial biometrics confirm live identity
3D Facial Recognition
Driver faces the camera while the system maps and authenticates their facial geometry in real time.
CDL Document Scan
Driver holds their Commercial Driver's License to the camera. The system reads, validates, and cross-references the document.
US Passport / Identity Auth
Driver presents their US Passport (or birth certificate / SSN documentation) for multi-layer citizenship and identity authentication.
Biometric Match Confirmed
The face on the CDL and Passport is matched against the live 3D facial scan — confirming the driver is who they claim to be.
✅ The result: confirmed real-person, real-document identity — not just a name on a form.
CDL-Driver Verify™ ID Card Issued
Once verified, every driver receives a physical CDL-Driver Verify™ ID card to carry at all times. Drivers present this card at the shipper's dock and receiver's facility as proof of verified status — giving freight partners instant confidence before a load is accepted.
Warning: Using a Not-Approved or Pending Driver
The temptation to use a Not-Approved or Pending driver may be great — but they carry that status for a reason. Do not ignore it.
Legal Disclosure Obligation
If you use a Not-Approved or Pending driver and an incident occurs, CDL-Driver Verify™ is compelled to provide all timestamps, notifications, and data to Federal or State Authorities, courts, or legal counsel upon Subpoena. This includes the record of their non-approved status at the time of the incident and your decision to proceed.
